Limited for time during those busy days at the office. Need to keep fit and stay healthy. Well get yourself down the local gym and use a Vibration Plate if you are limited for time to workout. Keeping Active and getting away from the office even if for only 30 minutes helps give you mind a rest and your body a workout. This break will also make you more productive at work. So why not give yourself a short intensive workout, a boost of energy might be just what you need.

Most decent Gyms these days will have at least 1 Power Plate machine, so head to your local gym and ask if they have one. Then get ask the fitness trainer to give you an induction. Once you are use to the machine then you can have quick and convenient lunchtime workouts.

3 sessions at 15 minutes each could make such a difference to how you look and feel. This also allows another 15 mins to get showered and back to the office.

The workout session will involve holding a number of different poses for approx 60 seconds each. The vibration swill contract so fast this will be long enough and you’re muscles will be needing a quick break, then onto the next pose.

Why not alternate your workouts with some cardio. The vibration plate will give your muscles a good workout, but you’ll also still want to get your heart beating with some cardio vascular training. Either get out and pound the streets or go rowing, swimming or running for a great mix for the weeks training.

If you are looking to buy a machine for home use then we’d recommend the Body Sculpture BM1500 Power Trainer. A Little over £100, doesn’t take up as much space as the Power Plate machines and gives you body just the same workout.

August 29th, 2009 Gary 1 comment

The daily mail recently wrote an article about a recent study of elderly people using Vibration Plates exercise machines such as the Power Plate.

The year long study from Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium, testing men and women in their 60s and 70s revealed that the machines help keep their heart and lungs in good shape. The study also showed that those that trained in the gym also reached the same level of fitness. However in a fraction of the time when using the Vibration Plates.

The Vibration plates machines have become very popular and help to give muscles a fast workout due to the fact that the vibrations make the muscles contract up to 50 times a second instead of a couple of times a second for normal exercise.
